«Beneath the Flames for Chorus and Orchestras» by Brian Buch is a five movement work for chorus and orchestra based on the poetry of Taras Shevchenko and the folk music of Ukraine.

Dedicated to the people and country of Ukraine, who have had to endure unimaginable hardships since the Russian invasion of their country.

This video features the premiere of the first, third, and fifth movements from Lviv on March 14th, 2024 by the KLK Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Ferdinando Nazzaro.

 

Brian Buch is a composer, pianist, and teacher living in Boston. He regularly performs and collaborates with top ensembles throughout the country and his music has been performed and recognized throughout the world. Brian is on the faculty at Berklee, MIT, and NEC.
